Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a mid-level Corporate Attorney to join its Detroit, MI office. This role involves preparation and negotiation of various corporate and transactional documents, interaction with clients, and representation in diverse business transactions. Location:

Duties:

• Prepare and negotiate a wide range of corporate and transactional documents, including:
  • Entity formation and governance documents.
  • Operating agreements and supply agreements.
  • Purchase agreements and compliance documents.
  • Merger and acquisition documents.
• Represent clients in the negotiation of diverse business transactions.
• Engage with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of experience in corporate law or related legal areas.
• Strong business development skills (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with a solid work ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan or eligible for licensure.

Skills:

• Expertise in corporate and transactional law.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage complex transactions effectively.
• Proven ability to handle client-facing responsibilities with professionalism.
