Duties:

  • Client Interaction & Legal Guidance:

    • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their litigation matters and legal proceedings.

  • Litigation & Courtroom Responsibilities:

    • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
    • Plan, attend, and actively participate in courtroom activities.
    • Draft and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
  • Case Preparation & Legal Research:

    • Conduct legal research to determine the most effective legal strategies.
    • Analyze relevant laws, case law, and legal precedents to assist in case preparation.
    • Review, organize, and maintain case files to ensure the most current and accurate information is available.
    • Assist in the discovery process, including conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:

    • Work alongside senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage and advance cases.
    • Coordinate efforts with other team members to ensure efficient case resolution.
    • Communicate developments in client cases to senior attorneys and clients on time.
  • Legal Drafting & Document Management:

    • Prepare and review legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
    • Draft contracts, affidavits, motions, and other legal correspondence to support legal proceedings.
  • Client Support & Administration:

    • Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and provide necessary updates.
    • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of all client information.
    • Assist with the preparation of administrative reports and documentation as needed.

Requirements:

  • License & Experience:

    • Active law license in Pennsylvania (or eligible for licensure).
    • 1-3 years of experience in litigation, estate planning, or other relevant legal fields.
  • Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to think critically and devise effective legal strategies.
    • Proficient in legal research and Microsoft Office.
    • Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
