A law firm seeks a talented Antitrust/Competition Associate to join its Palo Alto office. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a junior attorney (1-4 years of experience) to engage in challenging regulatory matters, including second request investigations and merger-related litigation. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in antitrust law and experience working with governmental agencies such as the FTC and DOJ, although this is not mandatory.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on complex antitrust and competition matters, particularly regarding mergers, acquisitions, and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Handle second request investigations and participate in merger litigations, defending clients’ positions before regulatory bodies.
  • Represent clients in litigation against the FTC, DOJ, and state attorneys general on antitrust matters.
  • Draft and file key legal documents, including compliance materials and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies for high-profile antitrust cases.
  • Stay informed on trends and changes in antitrust laws, providing clients with up-to-date legal advice.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in antitrust or competition law, with involvement in regulatory investigations and merger litigation.
  • Experience with FTC and DOJ procedures is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in complex legal contexts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California.

Skills:
