Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney with 1-10 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team of legal professionals and represent clients in complex legal matters related to workers’ compensation claims. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to advocacy, excellent legal writing skills, and the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Review and analyze medical records to support client defense strategies.
• Draft motions and legal documents to represent clients in court.
• Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as necessary.
• Draft legal reports including initial, interim, pre-trial, and trial reports.
• Handle discovery requests and draft related motions.
• Make regular court appearances to advocate for clients.
• Take and defend depositions of both fact and expert witnesses.
• Attend mediation, arbitration, trials, and appeals.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida.
• 1-10 years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to handle all aspects of discovery and trial preparation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in Florida.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License in good standing.

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and drafting skills.
• Proficiency in preparing legal motions and discovery responses.
• Effective oral advocacy for court appearances and depositions.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions and courtroom representation.
