Job Description: Regulatory Investigations, Strategy, and Enforcement Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a skilled Regulatory Investigations, Strategy, and Enforcement Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will focus on state and federal regulatory litigation, including spinoff consumer class litigation and administrative litigation. This role involves managing complex matters, including litigation with federal regulatory agencies, state Attorneys General, and challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate regulatory matters involving federal and state agencies.
  • Represent clients in consumer class action lawsuits related to regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory issues and case law.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments in court and administrative hearings.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement litigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies and opposing counsel.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and legal precedents affecting clients.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably in regulatory or administrative law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal court practices and procedures.
  • Clerkship experience in a relevant court is strongly preferred.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the DC Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the DC Bar.
