A law firm located in Minneapolis, MN, is currently looking for an Employment Litigation and Advice Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in employment law, with expertise in agency responses, employment litigation, drafting employment-related agreements, employee handbook policies, providing direct employment advice to clients, and E&L subject matter due diligence experience. The candidate should possess a strong academic background, hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and have an active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Duties:

  • Handle a range of employment law matters, including agency responses, employment litigation, and advising clients on employment-related issues.
  • Draft employment-related agreements, including employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and severance agreements.
  • Develop and revise employee handbook policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Provide clients with direct employment advice, addressing legal issues, and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Perform subject matter due diligence in employment and labor law matters.

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 2-5 years of experience in employment law, including agency responses, employment litigation, and providing employment advice to clients.
  • Strong academic background and professional credentials.
  • Familiarity with drafting employment-related agreements.
  • Knowledge of employment-related subject matter due diligence.
