Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to represent clients throughout all phases of litigation. This role involves handling general liability, professional liability, and employment claims. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation, exceptional organizational and writing skills, and proficiency with relevant software.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to trial.
  • Handle matters related to general liability, professional liability, and employment claims.
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to build strong cases.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of litigation experience.
  • Must be barred in New York (NY).
  • Experience with casualty, NY Labor Law, construction defects, professional liability, labor and employment, medical malpractice, and/or general liability litigation.
  • Experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Skills:

  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in Lexis software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
