Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Labor Attorney to join its growing Labor and Employment team. The attorney will represent union clients, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and handle various legal matters related to labor unions, particularly in the public sector. This is a full-time position in Milwaukee, WI, offering a challenging and dynamic environment for those with a passion for labor law.

Location:

  • Milwaukee, WI

Duties:

  • Negotiate collective bargaining agreements for first responder labor unions.
  • Advocate and represent union clients in grievances, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage case assignments in collaboration with team leads.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to associate attorneys.
  • Assist in client acquisition and development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor law, preferably in public sector labor law.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with collective bargaining preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage confidential information appropriately.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Wisconsin, in good standing.
