A law firm in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to build, evaluate, and negotiate personal injury cases, regularly communicate with clients, and attend attorney meetings. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing.

 

Duties:

  • Build and develop personal injury cases by gathering evidence, conducting legal research, and consulting with medical and legal experts.
  • Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of cases to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any questions or concerns.
  • Attend attorney meetings to discuss case strategies and collaborate with other attorneys and staff.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting personal injury law.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in personal injury law.
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to providing excellent legal representation.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
