Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Toxic Tort & Environmental Practice in the Seattle, WA office. The firm is looking for an attorney with at least two years of experience in toxic tort and environmental litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, along with expertise in case management, motion practice, discovery, and handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. Admission to the Washington Bar is required. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and cases, including Superfund multi-site litigation and coordinated Federal Multi-District Litigation.

Location:

  • Seattle, WA

Duties:

  • Handle all phases of toxic tort and environmental litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

  • Provide legal advice and strategies related to toxic tort and environmental matters, including multi-site litigation and Federal Multi-District Litigation.

  • Collaborate with team members and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.

  • Manage client relationships and foster long-term partnerships.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in toxic tort and environmental litigation.

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Experience with case management, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

  • Ability to handle hearings, depositions, and arbitrations.

  • Washington Bar admission is required.

  • Experience with Superfund litigation and federal multi-district litigation is preferred but not required.

  • Interest in working in a collaborative, dynamic team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Washington Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and writing skills.

  • Strong litigation and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage complex cases and deadlines.

  • Experience with toxic tort and environmental law (preferred).

  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
