Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled Lead Associate Attorney to oversee its Creditors’ Rights practice in Georgia. Based in Boca Raton, FL, this role supports the firm’s Georgia office, focusing on litigation, collections, and compliance in a high-volume environment. Duties:

  • Provide guidance and oversight for the firm’s Georgia practice.
  • Represent clients in routine and contested hearings in the state of Georgia.
  • Mentor and guide attorneys, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Monitor case progress and implement strategies for efficient file resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of conditions precedent to legal action, including document and financial reviews.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all internal systems reflect up-to-date findings, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections regulations.
  • Handle discovery, contested matters, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in Georgia (Required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation or collections, with an emphasis on creditors’ rights preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage high-volume caseloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management systems.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in Georgia (Required).
  • Additional bar licenses in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or Pennsylvania are advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in intermediate to advanced computer skills and general office software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
