Job Description

Duties:

• Work on private equity transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and day-to-day operations of portfolio companies.
• Advise clients on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements and other legal documents.
• Conducted due diligence and coordinated with other attorneys and professionals to complete transactions efficiently.
• Provide advice on various business law issues to private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
• Managed client relationships and communicated effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with developments in private equity law and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in private equity, particularly in corporate aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and operations.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality client service.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the state bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or become licensed promptly.
