Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is actively seeking an experienced Plaintiff Trial Attorney to join its team in Corpus Christi, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury trial experience, including depositions and expert witness involvement. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value cases with a collaborative team of legal professionals.

Location:

  • Corpus Christi, TX

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of 30-40 personal injury cases, both commercial and non-commercial.
  • Lead first-chair responsibilities in trial litigation, including depositions and working with expert witnesses (corporate defendants, liability, damage experts, and medical experts).
  • Develop cases from initial client consultations to demand processes, negotiations, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with clients and provide guidance throughout the legal process.
  • Handle complex personal injury cases with $1M or more in insurance coverage.
  • Receive mentorship from senior attorneys and management.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Bar License in good standing.
  • Significant first-chair trial experience in personal injury cases.
  • Extensive deposition experience with corporate defendants, liability experts, and medical experts.
  • Strong legal research, negotiation, and litigation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for personal injury law and client advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • Expertise in personal injury trial litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent case strategy, legal research, and negotiation skills.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize a substantial caseload.
  • Collaborative team player with leadership potential.
