Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience to join its team in either the Bridgewater or Milton offices. This position involves representing injured workers throughout all stages of workers' compensation claims, including hearings, mediations, and settlements. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a caseload, conducting legal research, and collaborating with a team. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.

Duties

  • Represent injured workers in all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including filing claims, attending hearings, mediations, and depositions, and negotiating settlements.

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

  • Develop case strategies and maintain communication with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.

  • Manage a high-volume caseload, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

  • Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as needed.

  • Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law on the plaintiff’s side (preferred but not required).

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.

  • Proficiency with case management software and legal research tools.

  • Ability to handle cases independently while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
