Associate Attorney needed for Charleston office

Job Overview:
A prominent personal injury law firm is seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Associate Attorney to join its team. This position offers the flexibility of being fully remote with an emphasis on negotiation skills and client advocacy. The ideal candidate will have a South Carolina law license and a passion for personal injury law. As an Associate Attorney, the primary responsibility will be negotiating settlements for personal injury cases, especially motor vehicle accidents. The firm provides excellent internal continuing legal education (CLE) programs to support career growth.

Location:

Duties:

• Negotiate settlements for personal injury claims, particularly motor vehicle accidents.
• Communicate effectively with clients and insurance adjusters, handling a significant volume of phone calls.
• Build case value and set expectations for clients.
• Maintain control over client relationships and case progress.
• Participate in the firm’s internal CLE programs to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
• Handle cases where medical bills are on the lower end of the spectrum.
• Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina law license.
• Strong comfort and confidence in handling phone conversations with clients and adjusters.
• Solid work ethic and a passion for client advocacy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain long-term relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be admitted to practice in South Carolina.
