Job Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role involves representing clients in various immigration matters, including removal defense, family petitions, and employment-based visas. The position requires a proactive approach to client advocacy and a passion for assisting families through complex legal situations.

Location

  • Lynnwood, WA

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of immigration cases, including client communication, legal drafting, and court representation.

  • Represent clients before EOIR, USCIS, BIA, and CBP.

  • Manage a high volume of immigration cases, focusing on removal defense, family petitions, consular processing, waivers, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, VAWA, U and T visas, and employment/business visas.

  • Collaborate with legal assistants and support staff to ensure effective case management.

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Provide legal counsel by clearly and empathetically communicating options to clients.

  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and trials.

  • Accurately calendar hearings, filing deadlines, and other key dates.

  • Communicate with the Managing Attorney and team members to continue professional development.

  • Take ownership of assignments and execute them in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State.

  • Ability to manage multiple immigration cases effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree OR Foreign law degree + LLM.

Certifications

  • Active Washington State Bar license.
