Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a seasoned Mid to Senior level Tax Associate Attorney with 5-8 years of experience. The candidate will primarily handle transactional tax matters and collaborate closely with securities and finance lawyers, while also engaging with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials across the country.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal advice on transactional tax matters, including structuring and planning.
• Conduct comprehensive research on tax laws, regulations, and case law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Develop and implement innovative tax strategies to meet client objectives.
• Represent clients in tax-related negotiations, audits, and disputes.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in California.
• 5-8 years of experience practicing tax law.
• Strong understanding of transactional tax matters and associated legal principles.
• Experience in tax issues related to public finance, tax-exempt organizations, or similar fields preferred.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
