Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled litigation attorney to join their expanding team. This remote position offers an opportunity to work on diverse civil litigation matters while building relationships with business clients. The role focuses on wage and hour disputes, ADA cases, business-to-business litigation, and employment law. Attorneys are supported by a collaborative team, including legal assistants and paralegals.

Duties

  • Handle and manage 25+ active cases, including wage and hour disputes, ADA compliance, Title VII matters, and B2B litigation.
  • Represent clients in federal court, agency investigations (EEOC, DOL, NLRB), depositions, motion practice, hearings, and mediations.
  • Conducted client consultations and maintained direct relationships with business clients.
  • Mentor and collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to improve workflows.
  • Continuously refine legal strategies and firm processes.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney with at least 2 years of practice experience.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (in good standing with no disciplinary record).
  • Resides within a 3-hour commute to New York City.
  • Experience in federal court litigation and employment law, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and wage/hour matters.
  • Proficiency in depositions, dispositive motions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Familiarity with agency investigations such as EEOC, DOL, or NLRB.
  • Technologically proficient and comfortable working in a remote environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (additional state licenses a plus).
