Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, seeks a skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney/Special Counsel focusing on lender-side financing. Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on various real estate transactions, primarily emphasizing lender-side financing.
  • Draft and negotiate financing documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and related instruments.
  • Conduct due diligence, title review, and other transactional support tasks.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to facilitate smooth transactional processes.
  • Research legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC.
  • 4-9 years of experience in real estate law, with a significant focus on lender-side financing.
  • Proven experience handling complex real estate transactions, including financing matters.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law, finance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with construction loans and related financing structures.
  • Prior experience in a reputable law firm environment.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
