Job Overview:
A prestigious New York-based law firm is seeking an experienced Auto Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join its team. This full-time role requires a minimum of two years of experience in auto liability defense. The position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of attorneys in a fast-paced environment, handling court appearances, drafting motions, and managing cases for various insurance clients.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Handle court appearances and manage litigation cases.
  • Draft and file legal motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct depositions and other discovery-related tasks.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to insurance companies regarding case status.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and resolutions.
  • Manage a caseload and meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings and arbitration matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto liability defense.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York State (required).
  • Federal Bar admission (Southern District and/or Eastern District) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and litigation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York State Bar Admission (required).
  • Federal Bar Admission (preferred).

Skills:

  • Auto liability defense litigation experience.
  • Strong skills in drafting motions and legal documentation.
  • Proficiency in conducting depositions and handling discovery.
  • Strong organizational and case management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
