Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

A law firm seeks a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with a keen interest in immigration law to work in a supportive environment that offers excellent growth potential. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while managing your caseload and interacting directly with clients. As a member of the Immigration team, you will collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants, assisting clients through various stages of the immigration process.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on immigration matters, offering strategic solutions for clients
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a variety of immigration cases, ensuring efficient case progression and client satisfaction
• Conduct intake meetings and visits with detained individuals at immigration detention centers
• Prepare immigration petitions, including family-based immigration and removal defense cases
• Review and revise immigration applications and forms as necessary
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates
• Meet with potential clients to discuss immigration strategies and offer consultations
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS hearings
• Write legal briefs for diverse immigration-related cases and submit them to relevant agencies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission or pending admission (law graduates awaiting bar admission may be considered)
• Strong interest in immigration law, demonstrated through internships, clinics, or volunteer work
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining client relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with a team
• Experience with case management software is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar admission (or pending admission)
