Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research to assess potential civil rights cases.

• Oversee litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings and managing discovery.

• Research, draft, and argue complex motions.

• Take and defend depositions and represent clients in court proceedings.

• Work directly with clients, including those from marginalized communities and incarcerated individuals.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney with an active bar membership.

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil rights or constitutional law.

• Strong research and legal writing skills, particularly in drafting complex motions.

• Experience handling depositions, court hearings, and appeals.

• Demonstrated commitment to civil rights advocacy and legal case development.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in CO.
