Duties:

  • Work as part of a legal team to provide superior client service and ensure efficient case flow.

  • Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, non-party witnesses, and third parties.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, expert exchanges, and other legal correspondence.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials.
  • Develop a personal brand and reputation to expand the network of case referral sources.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice Law.
  • Proven ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including depositions and motions.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and experts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
  • Admission to NYS federal courts preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the state of New York.
  • Federal court admission (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
  • Experience in depositions and expert witness coordination.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
