Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a corporate transactional associate with 4 to 7 years of experience to join its growing Corporate Practice Group in either the Charlotte or Raleigh, North Carolina office. This role offers an opportunity to work on a wide range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The associate will be responsible for advising clients on buy and sell side M&A transactions and other complex corporate and commercial transactions, providing guidance on deal structuring, due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and closing. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, research, and writing skills and should preferably be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Location:

  • Raleigh, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Advise clients on buy and sell side M&A transactions and complex corporate and commercial transactions
  • Provide counsel on deal structuring, due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and closing
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to business transactions
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of client service
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure the smooth execution of transactions
  • Maintain a high standard of legal research and writing

Requirements:

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in corporate transactional law, with a focus on M&A and business transactions
  • Experience in handling complex corporate and commercial transactions
  • Strong communication, research, and writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Preferred: Licensed to practice law in North Carolina

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in North Carolina (preferred)
