Job Overview: A law firm seeks a highly skilled Corporate Finance Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience with a strong focus on leverage finance, particularly on the borrower side. This role involves providing legal counsel on complex corporate finance transactions and requires a deep understanding of financial structures and lending arrangements.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on corporate finance transactions, emphasizing leverage finance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, including loan, security, and inter-creditor agreements.
  • Advise clients on structuring and negotiating various forms of credit facilities.
  • Conducted due diligence and managed transaction closings.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay current with relevant corporate finance laws, regulations, and market trends.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of client relationships.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of relevant corporate finance experience.
  • Strong experience in leverage finance, with a focus on representing borrowers.
  • Proven ability to manage complex finance transactions independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the bar in Washington, DC, or eligible for immediate bar admission in Washington, DC.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in Washington, DC.
