Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced associate with a minimum of 4 years of expertise in international estate planning to join its highly regarded Private Client Department (PCD). The ideal candidate will have experience advising high-net-worth individuals, multinational families, and businesses on cross-border estate planning, tax compliance, and wealth management.

Duties

  • Advise high-net-worth clients on complex international estate and tax planning, including cross-border wealth management structures.
  • Provide guidance on tax compliance issues for U.S. and non-U.S. taxpayers, including the structuring of foreign trusts, pre-immigration and expatriation planning, and U.S. property acquisition by non-U.S. persons.
  • Assist clients with reporting obligations related to foreign accounts, corporations, and trusts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from multiple disciplines, including corporate, tax, and transactional lawyers, to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional service by offering clear, effective solutions to complex legal issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in international estate planning and cross-border tax matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and develop creative solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction where you plan to practice.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
