A law firm in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Community Association Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-8 years of experience in community association law and/or commercial and construction litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigating condominium enforcement claims, construction disputes, and general litigation matters. This role involves representing community associations, developers, and general contractors, reviewing legal documents, and attending board meetings and trials.

Duties:

  • Litigate condominium enforcement claims, declaratory actions, construction disputes, injunction actions, and other general litigation matters.
  • Represent community associations, developers, and general contractors as general counsel.
  • Review and interpret community association governing documents, construction contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Attend and participate in condominium and homeowner association board and members’ meetings.
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge and management of litigation cases from inception through trial.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials, providing effective advocacy for clients.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients through effective communication and legal representation.
  • Meet annual billable hour requirements and record time efficiently.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and trends affecting community association and construction law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 3-8 years of experience in community association law and/or commercial and construction litigation.
  • Exceptional knowledge of litigation cases, from inception to trial.
  • Strong research and writing skills, with a proven ability to draft and review complex legal documents.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar (required).

Skills:

  • Expertise in litigating community association enforcement claims, construction disputes, and general litigation.
  • Strong ability to review and interpret legal documents, including community association governing documents and construction contracts.
  • Excellent research and writing skills for drafting legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Ability to effectively manage cases from inception through trial, including attending hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and effectively represent their interests.
  • Experience with community associations or homeowner associations (HOA) and construction law is a plus.
  • Efficient time management skills to meet billable hour requirements and manage case workload.
