Job Overview: A law firm in Omaha, NE, seeks a dedicated and skilled banking and finance attorney to join its team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise financial institutions and commercial lenders on complex banking and finance matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies for achieving lending and borrowing goals and managing financial liabilities.
  • Structure transactions to protect clients' commercial interests.
  • Negotiate and document contractual relationships between lenders and borrowers.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Interact directly with business professionals, construction and real estate experts, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively within a high-functioning deal team to achieve successful outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in banking and finance law.
  • Strong interest in corporate and commercial finance and financial services.
  • Current licensing or eligibility to become licensed to practice law in Nebraska.
  • Experience with loan applications and processes.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Nebraska or eligible to become licensed.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate complex legal matters concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic, leadership skills, and a proactive attitude toward assuming increased responsibilities.
