Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney with 4-5 years of experience to handle a variety of litigation matters on behalf of public agency clients. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, and experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple projects efficiently, contribute as a team player, and take ownership of significant projects. Experience or interest in eminent domain matters is highly preferred.

Location:

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters on behalf of public agency clients, including cases involving eminent domain and valuation.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written memoranda.
• Assist with trial preparation and manage case files.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on various projects.
• Provide timely and high-quality legal advice to clients.
• Manage a caseload and ensure that deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in eminent domain or related areas.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
