Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City is seeking experienced litigation attorneys to join their team. Attorneys will be mentored by seasoned partners while handling cases that span various aspects of litigation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including case initiation, expert discovery, depositions, and hearings.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, case management conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and discovery investigations.
• Draft discovery requests and responses, legal motions, case evaluation summaries, pleadings, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Review and summarize discovery responses, depositions, and other legal materials.
• Negotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counsel.
• Provide regular updates and legal analysis to clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in litigation, particularly in general liability or labor and employment law.
• Active license to practice law in New York (must be barred in NY).
• Proven experience drafting discovery documents, conducting depositions, and arguing motions.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York Bar License.

Skills:

• Exceptional writing and research abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Lexis software.
