Land Use Associate Attorney

Location:

Duties:

• Manage complex land use and zoning matters, including applications for planning and zoning boards at municipal and county levels
• Represent clients in hearings related to land use and zoning cases
• Assist in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing (experience in this area is a plus)
• Provide legal counsel to commercial real estate developers, institutional investors, and various stakeholders
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys across disciplines within the firm

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in land use and zoning law
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration and problem-solving
• Proactive and creative in developing solutions to meet client and team needs

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active New Jersey Bar admission in good standing (required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in handling land use and zoning matters
• Strong technical skills and a high level of professionalism in client interactions
• Effective problem-solving and ability to work independently
• Background in real estate transactions (acquisitions, leasing, and financing) preferred.
