A Lake Success, NY, law firm seeks a dynamic Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocating for clients' rights and excellent communication and negotiation skills. They will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation to clients in personal injury cases, ensuring exceptional service delivery while achieving favorable outcomes.

Duties:

  • Advise clients of claim liability and legal rights.
  • Respond to discovery demands.
  • Conduct depositions.
  • Keep clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
  • Conduct discovery and draft motions.
  • Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, including interviewing clients and witnesses.
  • Present court cases, argue motions, and appeals.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentation.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of plaintiff personal injury trial experience, documented.
  • Ability to build client relationships and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and dependability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
  • Energetic and motivated individual.
  • Strong negotiation skills and creativity.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
