A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior-Level Associate Attorney with over 4 years of experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent briefing and writing skills, a strong academic background, and be a proactive self-starter. A Texas law license is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee complex litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Draft, review, and refine legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents with a high level of precision and clarity.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and arbitrations.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Prepare and present oral arguments, evidence, and legal positions effectively.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed about case developments and strategic options.
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Texas.
  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal writing and briefing.
  • Strong academic credentials and a record of high achievement.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to case management.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
