Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 3-7 years of experience. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team handling a variety of civil litigation and insurance defense matters, with a focus on bodily injury and first-party/bad faith claims. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in case management, trial preparation, and client communication, and should be able to effectively manage and drive cases toward resolution. Duties:

• Manage civil litigation cases, with a primary focus on insurance defense related to bodily injury and bad faith claims.
• Handle all aspects of case management from start to finish, including depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court, delivering oral arguments, and participating in hearings.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, ensuring favorable outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case status and addressing their concerns.
• Draft legal documents, including motions and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to strategize case resolutions and implement legal tactics.
• Maintain case files and documentation in an organized and timely manner.

Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense.
• Proven ability to handle insurance defense matters, specifically bodily injury and first-party/bad faith claims.
• Strong experience in motion practice and trial preparation.
• Comfortability handling depositions, oral arguments, and client communications.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in Arizona (additional state licenses a plus).

Skills:
