Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Attorney to join the team. This role involves performing audits, reviewing cases, and working closely with assigned teams to ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures. The attorney will monitor performance, assess areas of non-compliance, and provide guidance to teams to maintain high standards.

Location:

  • Austin, TX

Duties:

  • Perform audits and case reviews for assigned teams.
  • Meet with teams on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Identify and assess areas of non-compliance and work with teams to address issues.
  • Ensure that cases are being handled in compliance with legal requirements and firm guidelines.
  • Provide support and guidance to assigned teams to maintain efficient case management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as necessary to ensure compliance across departments.

Requirements:

  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed in the U.S. and in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of personal injury law experience.

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar license (Texas preferred).

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence.
  • Legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to compliance.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
