Workers' Compensation Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Columbus, OH office. This full-time position offers an opportunity to support an exclusively employer-focused practice within a small, AV-rated labor and employment defense firm. Candidates with experience in workers' compensation litigation are preferred.

Duties

• Represent employers in workers' compensation litigation cases, providing legal counsel and advocacy.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop effective defense strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Experience in workers' compensation law is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Ohio.
