Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Associate to join a growing and sophisticated practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, development, and finance. The associate will take responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate agreements, as well as managing due diligence efforts. The role offers opportunities for direct client contact and the chance to work on large regional or national transactions.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, leasing, development, and financing matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate sale and purchase agreements, commercial leases, development-related agreements, and loan documents.
  • Handle due diligence efforts, including title and survey reviews.
  • Work closely with clients on a variety of real estate transactions, including national projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage complex real estate matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of commercial real estate transactional experience.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be admitted to practice in Virginia or be eligible for reciprocal admission.
  • Experience with large regional or national law firms is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a wide range of real estate transactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Virginia or eligible for reciprocal admission.

Skills:
