Duties:

  • Client Representation: Provide representation to clients in a variety of personal injury claims, including but not limited to car accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.
  • Case Management: Manage the full lifecycle of personal injury cases from initial consultation through to settlement or trial, ensuring that all records and documents are meticulously maintained.
  • Legal Research and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough legal research on case precedents, relevant statutes, and state regulations to craft compelling legal strategies for each case.
  • Litigation and Court Appearances: Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, representing clients with zeal and professionalism.
  • Settlement Negotiation: Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure favorable settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Client Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the legal process, providing updates and answering questions with clarity and empathy.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements, ensuring full compliance with Colorado laws.
  • Business Development: Build relationships with clients, legal professionals, and other potential clients to foster business growth and expand the firm’s client base.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Colorado State Bar.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing personal injury law, with a successful record of case outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of Colorado’s personal injury laws and civil procedure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain legal terms and processes clearly.
  • Proven negotiation and litigation abilities, capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to develop innovative legal strategies.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with trials in personal injury cases.
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods.
