A law firm seeks a driven and detail-oriented Associate Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing team in Dallas. Duties:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of personal injury litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery-related correspondence.
  • Handle pre-litigation tasks including case evaluations, settlement negotiations, and drafting demand letters.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations on behalf of clients.
  • Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation process.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, hearings, and trial appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
  • Lead and assist in investigations related to assigned cases, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation and strategy.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury law, with a strong understanding of litigation processes.
  • Experience in pre-litigation case management and discovery.
  • Ability to draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Willingness to engage in trial work and other aspects of litigation.
  • Ability to handle a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong litigation skills, including depositions, motions, and negotiations.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with case management software and legal technology is a plus.
