Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney with a passion for personal injury law to join its team in Bend, OR. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a newly admitted attorney to gain hands-on experience in personal injury litigation, working closely with senior attorneys on case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, with a commitment to advocating for injured plaintiffs.Location:Bend, ORDuties:Assist senior attorneys in managing personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall claims.Conduct legal research, prepare case summaries, and draft pleadings, discovery, and motions.Help develop case strategies and assist in preparing for trials, mediations, and settlements.Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.Represent clients in court, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials.Collaborate with senior attorneys on legal strategy and case preparation.Build strong relationships with clients and maintain clear communication regarding case progress.Manage case files and track deadlines using the firm’s case management system.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Oregon State Bar or pending bar results.Strong interest in litigation, trial preparation, and alternative dispute resolution.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build strong client relationships and provide empathetic client service.Strong research and writing skills with experience drafting legal documents.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Oregon State Bar (required).Skills:Strong legal research and writing abilities.Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.Benefits:401(k) plan with employer matching.Health insurance with Health Savings Account (HSA) option.Paid time off and vision insurance.Retirement plan.Reimbursement for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) expenses.Bar dues and malpractice insurance covered by the firm.
