Location:

Duties:

  • Assist senior attorneys in managing personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall claims.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare case summaries, and draft pleadings, discovery, and motions.
  • Help develop case strategies and assist in preparing for trials, mediations, and settlements.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Represent clients in court, including pre-trial motions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on legal strategy and case preparation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain clear communication regarding case progress.
  • Manage case files and track deadlines using the firm’s case management system.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar or pending bar results.
  • Strong interest in litigation, trial preparation, and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and provide empathetic client service.
  • Strong research and writing skills with experience drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
