Job Overview: A law firm in Pensacola, FL, seeks a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial, advising clients on legal strategies and risks across various practice areas.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions, with precision and attention to legal detail.
  • Manage litigation and develop effective strategies, overseeing cases from initiation to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, writing, and proofreading of documents with high accuracy.
  • Implement and navigate State and Federal litigation procedures, including trial processes, discovery, and document production.
  • Interact professionally with the Court, opposing counsel, and clients to effectively represent the firm's interests.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on litigation risks and compliance in litigation matters and commercial transactions.

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in Florida and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience, including deposition-taking, discovery preparation and response, pleadings drafting, motion practice, mediation preparation, and trial readiness.
  • Proficiency in drafting pleadings and related documents for state and federal litigation and arbitration.
  • Experience with case and document management tools, preferably Everlaw.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional research, writing, and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically in complex legal scenarios.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation areas such as construction, real estate, employment, and professional liability is advantageous.
