Job Overview

A prestigious national law firm is seeking a talented and experienced mid to senior-level Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Infrastructure, and Project Finance team. The role involves direct client interaction and substantial responsibility in handling complex transactions related to the development, acquisition, and financing of renewable energy projects.

Location

Duties

  • Represent sponsors and financing parties in renewable energy transactions

  • Draft and negotiate project development and operation contracts (e.g., EPC Contracts, Supply Agreements, Offtake Agreements, O&M Agreements)

  • Assist with financing documents related to debt, tax equity, and M&A work

  • Provide legal counsel throughout the project development lifecycle

  • Work directly with clients and third-party advisors

  • Collaborate with internal teams and take ownership of key deliverables

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience practicing law in the energy industry

  • Prior experience at a top-tier law firm or a comparable in-house counsel role

  • Demonstrated experience in project development, M&A, or finance within the energy sector

  • Familiarity with renewable energy contracts and financing structures

  • Excellent analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills

  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing in the state of residence

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

  • Active membership in a state bar within the United States

  • Good standing with the relevant state bar
