Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview
A well-established law firm in Tampa, FL, specializing in immigration law, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Immigration Attorney to join their team. The firm provides comprehensive legal services, focusing on family reunification, removal defense, and guiding clients through the entire immigration process. As an Immigration Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients before courts, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and other administrative agencies in family-based immigration cases and removal proceedings.

Duties

  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies in removal/deportation and family-based immigration matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, briefs, motions, and other related materials.
  • Manage cases involving U visas, T visas, asylum claims, and other immigration benefits.
  • Conduct consultations with new clients, providing legal advice and strategies for their immigration matters.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and other firm staff to ensure seamless case progression and uphold the firm’s culture and mission.
  • Participate in promotional and outreach events, occasionally outside of standard working hours.
  • Stay informed about changes in immigration laws and regulations, adapting case strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Active attorney license in good standing in any U.S. state.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in trial work and court appearances is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in immigration law is an asset.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.

Skills

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in handling complex legal cases and client interactions.
