Chemical and Life Sciences Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Chemical and Life Sciences Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience to join their team. The candidate will focus on handling consumer products-related matters, including California’s Proposition 65, chemical regulatory compliance, advertising claims, consumer class actions, and products liability.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on issues related to consumer products, chemical regulations, and products liability.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Participate in defending depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Assist in advising clients on regulatory compliance and risk management in the chemical and life sciences sectors.
• Handle consumer class actions and participate in settlement negotiations.
• Stay updated on legal developments and industry trends affecting chemical and life sciences sectors.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-3 years of experience in a law firm setting, preferably within a Chemical and Life Sciences practice group.
• Admission to the California Bar, active and in good standing.
• Strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, and brief writing.
• Background or interest in science is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California Bar, active and in good standing.
