Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Corporate Franchise Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of transactional franchise experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to contribute to the franchise community, possess familiarity with franchise disclosure documents, agreements, and compliance, and demonstrate expertise in expediting state franchise registrations.

Duties:

  • Manage and prepare franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, and other compliance documents.
  • Facilitate the expediting of state franchise registrations, including responding to comment letters.
  • Prepare default and termination notices as required, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on regulatory, relationship, and compliance matters related to franchises.
  • Handle mergers and acquisitions within the franchise space, international franchise licensing transactions, and dispute resolution.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of transactional franchise experience.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in serving the franchise community.
  • Familiarity with franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, and compliance.
  • Experience in expediting state franchise registrations and responding to comment letters.
  • Knowledge of default and termination notice procedures.
  • Ability to advise clients on regulatory, relationship, and compliance matters.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions in the franchise space is a plus.
  • International franchise licensing transactions and dispute resolution experience are desirable.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in CO or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
