Duties:

  • Represent clients in court and during negotiations.
  • Perform legal research and analysis to support litigation efforts.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
  • Stay informed on legal trends and updates to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Efficiently manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Develop and implement strategic approaches for each case.
  • Represent the firm at legal conferences and professional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership with the South Carolina State Bar.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in litigation, with a preference for family law experience.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and oral advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated negotiation expertise.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of professionalism, especially when dealing with confidential information.
  • Familiarity with state court procedures.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
