Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Location: Logan, UT

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Logan, Utah, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This dynamic firm handles a variety of legal matters, including family law, criminal defense, commercial and civil litigation, real property, and probate law. The Associate Attorney role will primarily focus on civil litigation and family law, with opportunities to work across other practice areas. Duties:

  • Conduct client and case intake processes.

  • Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring attention to detail and timely progression of legal matters.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice as needed.

  • Draft legal documents, including filings and briefs, for litigation purposes.

  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and making oral arguments.

  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal disputes.

  • Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the firm and regulatory bodies.

  • Track billable hours, expenses, and other administrative tasks as part of case management.

  • Assist in the training and mentoring of junior attorneys and staff on updates to laws and regulations.

  • Participate in weekly case management meetings to review and plan case strategies.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, or expected to graduate by Spring 2025.

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Utah or on track to obtain licensure by November 2025.

  • Preferred experience in criminal law, family law, or civil litigation.

  • Strong legal research and writing capabilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail with exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge and adherence to the Standards of Professionalism and Civility, along with the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct.

  • Familiarity with iOS-based systems and web-based software is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Utah State Bar membership or eligibility to become licensed by November 2025.
