Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its team in Stamford, CT. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience in complex commercial litigation, including state and federal courts in Connecticut, and will contribute actively to case management and trial preparation.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of complex commercial litigation, including discovery, depositions, pleadings, motions, and trial preparation.
• Manage day-to-day case activities and deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with partners, clients, and support staff.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolutions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Experience in state and federal courts in Connecticut.
• Strong understanding of legal research methods and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar in good standing (dual admission in NY is a plus).
• Prior experience as a judicial clerk preferred.
• Government and internal investigations experience is advantageous.
