Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in complex litigation matters, including healthcare and energy sectors.
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including case evaluation, pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Appear in court for hearings, motions, and trial proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and briefs in support of case strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop and implement case strategy.
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review, preparation of interrogatories, and handling depositions.
  • Provide clear and concise legal advice to clients, communicating case developments and potential outcomes.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings when necessary.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of litigation trends, particularly in healthcare and energy law.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience commensurate with time in practice.
    • Experience with healthcare and/or energy litigation is preferred.
    • Must have courtroom experience and a strong desire to appear in court.
  • Education:
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • Licensure and Certifications:
    • Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado is required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, and preparing for trial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effectively communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client service.
  • Familiarity with Colorado court procedures and e-discovery tools.
