Location:

Duties:

  • Lead and manage probate litigation matters involving trusts, estates, fiduciary misconduct, and elder financial abuse

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery, and trial briefs

  • Handle contested hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials

  • Provide strategic legal advice to fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other parties in estate disputes

  • Collaborate with internal support teams including discovery counsel and forensic accountants

  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to litigation team development

  • Participate in firm-sponsored continuing legal education and professional development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Significant prior experience handling probate, trust, and estate litigation

  • Proven track record managing cases from intake through resolution or trial

  • Attention to detail and high standards for work product

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing a complex caseload independently

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required)

  • Probate specialization certification (preferred but not required)

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral advocacy

  • Expertise in probate court procedures and applicable California laws

  • Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities
